Daughter of John B. and Hester Carter Ingram. One of 13 children: Flossie, Donald, Ercil, Dewey, Emma, Rae, Mary Jane, Gareldean, Ruth, Herman, Margaret, John and Robert.

GARELDEAN CLAY (nee Ingram) age 90, of Hobart, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 1997 at St. Mary Medical Center, Hobart. Mra. Clay was a Hobart resident for the past 27 years and a former longtime Gary resident. A member of Hobart Presbyterian Church. Formerly employed at Methodist Hopsital Northlake Campus for 15 years and also a member of Methodist Hospital Auxiliary at borh campuses for approximately 40 years. She is survived by 2 daughters, Mary Louise (Joe) Alonso of Zionsville, IN, Shirley (Malcolm) Lunsford of Merrillville; sister Margaret Akers of Hobart; 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Clay. funeral services will be Saturday, February 15, 1997, 10 a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., Hobart, Rev. Michael C. Maietta officiation. Burial Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville. Friends may call Friday, 2-5 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. at the Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel. Memorials are preferred to Hobart Presbyterian Church.
