NETTIE MAY entered the world in 1890. She married John Coghill, a Scotsman with a strong burr that we found hard to understand at times. Aunt and Uncle 'Jock were great fun, dancing and singing; Jock loved Harry Lauder songs. When Aunt Nettie passed away at age 55, in 1944, it was notable that out of a family of 17 there were still 15 living, Uncle Hendrick's twin having died at the age of four.

-Ethel May Moore Guertin on her aunt.
