HENRY BERTRAM

Henry S. Bertram, 71, of W3657 Taynette Circle, Malone, (Town of Taycheedah), died Saturday, Dec. 7, 1991, at St. Agnes Hospital.

He was born Nov. 26, 1920, in Johnsburg, a son of Anton and Rose Schmitz Bertram. On Oct. 26, 1943, he married Julitta Sabel at Holy Cross Church, Mount Calvary.

Mr. Bertram was engaged in farming in the St.Peter and Johnsburg area all his life, retiring in 1982. He was an avid bowler and wood crafter and a member of St.Peter’s Catholic Church, St. Pete, and the church’s Holy Name Society.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Sandy Binotto and her husband Jerry of Eden, Connie Pickart and her husband Herb of Mount Calvary, and Lynn Wehner and her husband John of St. Peter; three sons, Allen and his wife Rose and Steven and his wife Darcy, both of Fond du Lac, and Mark and his wife Judy of St. Peter; 16 grandchildren; three brothers, Alex of Fond du Lac, Alois and his wife Ludvina and Edwin and his wife Lyla, both of St. Peter; two sisters, Frances Vander Grinten of Eden and Julia Braun and her husband Ambrose of North Fond du Lac; and four sisters-in-0law, Selma Bertram of Johnsburg, Marcella Bertram of Pipe, and Alice Bertram and Julianna Bertram, both of Fond du Lac.

Preceding him in death were seven brothers, Math, Fred, Christ, Alphonse, Orlando, Ambrose and Dennis.

Funeral services will be held at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday at Zacherl Funeral Home and at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, St. Peter. The Rev. William Heffron will officiate. Entombment will be in Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Cemetery.

Visitation is scheduled from 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home where a parish vigil service will be held at 8 p.m.
A memorial in his name has been established.
