Edwin "Eddie" A. Bertram, died on October 17, 2014 at his home in St. Peter, Wisconsin at the age of 90. He was born on August 15, 1924 to Anton and Rose (Schmitz) Bertram in Johnsburg, Wisconsin, the youngest of 11 boys and 2 girls. They were raised in the Johnsburg area where Edwin attended St. John the Baptist Grade School. On October 23, 1948, he married his wife of 66 years. Edwin was engaged in dairy farming on the family homestead for many years before working for the Kohler Company and Mercury Marine of Fond du Lac. He also did some farming for Mr. Carl Kiekhaefer on the ledge near Peebles. He worked for Mercury Marine for 30 years and retired in St. Peter. He was very active in the St. Peter Lions Club, the Knights of Columbus, and the St. Lawrence Seminary Parents' Guild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers; Mathias, Frederick, Alex, Christ, Alois, Dennis, Alfonse, Henry, Ambrose, and Orlando, and his two sisters, Frances Vander Grinten and Julia Braun.
