Brevard - Elsie Lackey Good, age 87, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 30, 2017 after several years of declining health.

She was the daughter of Z.L. Lackey Sr. and Agnes Beach Lackey. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Dock Edward Good, two infant sons, one infant daughter and one infant grandson, Jonathan Nathaniel Ashe; six brothers Paul, Earl, Ray, Howard (Sam), Jimmy, and Carroll Lackey; four sisters Edith Suttles, Ruth Lambeth, Doris Smith, Barbara (Bobbie) Lackey.

Elsie had a passion for growing and arranging flowers. She and her husband were the owners of Elsie's Florist in Marion, NC for many years. She won several awards for her window displays of which she was very proud.

She also loved the Lord and wanted nothing more than to be a witness for him in all aspects of her life.

She was a faithful, loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter-in-law and friend to all who knew her.
