Funeral Services are scheduled for Saturday, May 7 at 10:00 AM at Megrue-Price Funeral Home.

Visitation: Friday, May 6th from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM with family present from 6 - 8 to greet friends.

Christian Biography of Wilma E. Kugler

Wilma E. Kugler age 87 of Abilene, Kansas, died Sunday, May 1, 2016 at Enterprise Estates Nursing Center in Enterprise, Kansas. She was born in Cadams, Nebraska on December 24, 1928 to Eilert and Hattie Bargen. Wilma worked as a bookkeeper for Morris and Anderson Ford, Beloit, Kansas and she enjoyed being a nurse's aide at St. John's Hospital in Salina, Kansas. Wilma had a special talent for growing plants and enjoyed crocheting. Most of all she was a wonderful mother to her sons Doug and Jeff, and a wonderful wife to Melvin D. Kugler. Wilma and Melvin were married on January 1, 1948 in Salem Lutheran Church near Superior, Nebraska. Melvin passed away on January 27, 2006.

Preceding Wilma in death were her parents, her husband, and her granddaughter Katie Hess as well as her brother Albert and sister Norma Elliott.

Wilma is survived by her two sons, Doug (Marge) Kugler in Abilene, Kansas and Jeff (Joan) Kugler in Manhattan, Kansas; her grandchildren: Lara (John) Nichols of Chugiak, Alaska, Jenni (Cory) Christiansen of Lincoln, Nebraska, and Dan (Stephanie) Kugler of Monument, Colorado; and her great-grandchildren, Grace and Ted Nichols, Claudia Hess of Abilene, Kansas, Morgan and Brady Christiansen, and Nathan and Abby Kugler. She is also survived by her sisters Evelyn Moore and Lorene Saathoff and her brothers Don (Norma) Bargen and Lyndall (Bonnie) Bargen along with nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The memorial service will be on Saturday, May 7 at 10 a.m. at Megrue-Price Funeral Home in Superior, Nebraska with Pastor Michael Brecke officiating.

Congregational hymns were “Guide Me Ever, Great Redeemer,” “Jesus, Still Lead Me On,” and “Blest Be the tie that Binds,” with Carlita Price as the organist.

Burial will take place in Evergreen Cemetery in Superior.

Memorials have been designated to Home Health and Hospice of Abilene/Dickinson County or to Nuckolls County Nebraska Food Pantry. The memorials may be sent in care of Megrue-Price Funeral Home in Superior, Nebraska located at 750 N. Commercial Ave., Superior, NE 68978.
