She was one of thirteen children and was educated in local schools.
She married Raymond Couture on September 27, 1947 in Newport who preceded her in death.
She was a homemaker and a faithful parishoner of St Patrick's Church.
She enjoyed crocheting, longtime friendships with her neighbors and a good television program.
She was preceded in death by brother Albert and Maurice who were killed in World War II, John, and sister Cecile.
She is survived by sisters Hazel Petrin of Newport, Gabrielle Trepanier of Claremont, Dolores Halverson of Westford, MA, Rita Gee of Philomath, OR and brother Paul Granger of Salem, OR.
Burial is in St Patrick's Cemetery.
