Daniel Slagle was born in Manor Twp., Armstrong Co.

Death of Daniel B. Slagle
The death of Daniel B. Slagle, aged 81 years and 5 months, occurred at his home in Templeton Wednesday morning at seven o'clock. Deceased was a preeminent resident of that community and held the office of justice of the peace for many years. His widow, Martha Jane Slagle and the following children survive: Mrs. Florence McGinley, Pittsburg; Mrs. William Smith, Pittsburg; Mrs. Arthur Hilty, Mrs. Dale Hulings, Vandergrift; Ney Slagle, Youngstown, O; Mrs. Morris Knighton, Ambridge;. Thirty-five grand children and 15 great-grandchildren and the following brothers also survive: Jacob, Kittanning; Emanuel of Lawsonham; John, Mosgrove; Smith, Templeton.
Funeral services Friday afternoon two o'clock at the Church of God, Templeton. Rev. W.C. Shimp, officiating. Interment in the Cochrane cemetery.

Served as a private in Co. B, 78th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry. Wounded in the eye and the arm.
