When the angels were floating through the heavens at dawn, Saturday morning, they came to earth to cast a wave of deep sadness over the entire community, when they took up with them the soul of a faithful and loving mother, Mrs John Endres. Mrs Endres was a woman of gentle and noble character, respected by all who knew her and adored by her husband and children, She was taken away when it seemed that she could not be spared, to receive the reward of eternal bliss in that other and fairer land, where there is no pain, no sorrow and no parting from those dearly beloved. The grief stricken husband and motherless children have the sympathy of everyone in their sorrow. Only time can dry their tears and take the pain from their hearts, but no one fill her place in their saddened home. Zillah Swift, daughter of Mr and Mrs Peter Swift was born at Seymour, WI March 14th, 1890. When 15 years of age her mother died, leaving a family of six. Nineteen years ago, with her father, she moved to a farm near Mt Vernon. She was a faithful daughter to her father, keeping house for him for eight years. On November 22nd, 1916 she was joined in holy wedlock to Mr John Endres of Dimock. They lived on a farm near Dimock until 1920, when they moved to Harrold, where they lived until several months ago when they moved to Mitchell on account of Mrs Endres' poor health. She had been in failing health for some time and died Saturday morning, March 29, 1930, in a Mitchell hospital, after giving birth to a son two weeks ago. Funeral services were held at 9 o'clock on Tuesday morning, April 1, at SS Peter and Paul church in Dimock, conducted by Rev Jos. Heinsbach, the pastor, Rev Brady of Mitchell, gave a very warming funeral oration. She was carried to her resting place by six brothers-Oscar, Lee and Luverne Swift and William, Matt and Hubbert Endres. She is survived by her husband, nine sons and two daughters ranging form the ages of two weeks to twelve years; Donald, Lester, Doris, Rodell, Ilene, Melvin, Delbert, John, Kenneth, Vilas and William; her father, Peter Swift; two sisters, Mrs Will Leahy of Darlington, WI and Mrs Jimmy Howe of Schullsberg, WI; three brothers, Oscar and Lee Swift of Milwaukee, and Luverne Swift of Murrell, IA.
