Joseph K Endres, 67, McHenry, IL, died Tuesday, April 18, 1995, at the Northern Illinois Medical Center in McHenry, IL. Funeral Mass will be held at 3 pm Friday at the Church of Holy Apostle in McHenry. Visitation will be from noon to 3 pm at the church. Burial will be at a later date in South Dakota. The George R Justen and Son Funeral Home of McHenry is in charge of arrangements. Mr Endres was born Oct 14, 1927, in Harrold, SD, the son of John and Zillah (Swift) Endres. He served in the Navy from 1944 to 1946, he married Betty Jo Dickinson in Mitchell. He was former co-owner of the Sports Bar, El Roco, in Grand Forks, ND and had retired from carpentry 10 years ago. Survivors include; his wife, four daughters; Kay Endres and Mia and husband, Jim Szamlewski, all of McHenry, Paula Marie and husband Tim Mauf, Broken Arrow, OK; and Carla and Husband Chuck Callies, LaCrosse, WI; one son, Robert Joseph and wife Robin Endres, Portland, OR; 10 grandchildren; one sister, Ilene Katherine and husband William Meinen, Akron, IA; four brothers, Don and wife Berneice Endres, Grand Forks, ND; Les and wife Bertha Endres, Brainerd, MN; Delbert and wife Maxine Endres, Mesa, AZ; and William Endres, Utah; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two daughters, one sister, and four brothers.
