Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Brumley Baptist Church for Mrs. Mary Ellen Williams, 66. She was the wife of Adron Williams. Mrs. Williams died Wednesday, Nov. 17, 1963, at a hospital in Waynesville.

A daughter of Henry and Mariah Catherine Wall, she was born April 19, 1897 at Brumley. In 1917, she was married to Mr. Williams. They were parents of eight children. Survivors include her husband of the home at Brumley; three daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Arnold, Holts Summit, Mrs. Bonnie Watts, Chicago, Illinois, and Mrs. Linda Colvin, San Diego, Calif.; four sons, Hilgar Maher, Kansas City, Glen Williams, Centertown and Donald and Jerry Williams, Suharita, Arizona.

Five sisters, Mrs. Edna Pemberton, Iberia, Mrs. Walksie Maltby and Mrs. Luna Martin, Kansas City, KS, Mrs. Nellie Jones, Cairo, Illinois and Mrs. Hazel Martin, Etterville; three brothers, Lonnie Wall of California, Joel Wall, Eldon and Ralph Wall, Kansas City, KS; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Adron, Jr., and a daughter, Mary Sue. A sister, Mrs. Alpha Winnop, died about two months ago.

Mrs. Williams was a member of the Baptist Church at Reading, Kansas. The Rev. Eldon Myers officiated at the final rites. Interment was in the Hawkins Cemetery near Brumley under the direction of Walter Hedges Funeral Home of Brumley.
