Funeral services for Mariah Catherine Wall, 91, who passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mary Williams, February 19, 1954, were conducted Monday, February 22 at 1:30 p.m. at the Brumley Baptist Church with Rev. J. O. Brown officiating. Internment was in the Hawkins Cemetery with funeral arrangements under the direction of the Hedges Funeral Home of Iberia.

Mariah Catherine Wall, daughter of George and Eliza Graham, was born near Brumley, MO on July 3, 1862 and passed away Feb 19, 1954 at the age of 91 years 9 months and 16 days.

On December 21, 1879, she was united in marriage to Henry David Wall and to this union nine daughters and four sons were born. One son, Otto, passed away in 1939 and one daughter died in infancy. Her husband preceded her in death in 1916.

She united with the Brumley Baptist Church when a young girl, which was about 70 years ago, and remained faithful to the church all her life. She is survived by three sons and eight daughters, A. T. (Lonnie) Wall of San Gabriel, CA, Joel Wall of Walnut Grove, MO, Ralph Wall of Kansas City, KS, Mrs. Dora Nofsinger of DeSoto, KS, Alpha Winnop of Leaburg, Oregon, Mrs. Edna Pemberton of Iberia, Mrs. Walksie Maltby of Kansas City, KS, Mrs. Mary Williams of Brumley, MO, Mrs. Nellie Jones of Galconda, IL, Mrs. Luna Martin of Kansas City, KS and Mrs. Hazel Martin of Etterville, MO.

She also leaves 54 grandchildren, 78 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Two children were not about to be present at the funeral, namely: Mrs Winnop and Lonnie Wall. Pallbearers were: Glen Williams, Sherrill Wall, Forrest Wall, Hilgar Maher, Dorrel Wall and Emil Pemberton.
