Nellie Jones, 95, of Olmsted, Ill., died Thursday, Sept. 3, 1998, at Daystar Nursing Home in Cairo, Ill. She formerly lived in Eldon. She was born Feb. 26, 1903, in Brumley to Henry David and Mariah Graham Wall. She was married in 1924 to Troy Jones, who died in 1967.
Mrs. Jones was a member of the Caledonia Baptist Church in Olmsted and the Order of the Eastern Star.
Surviving her are a son, Raymond Jones of Ullin, Ill., two granddaughters, and a sister, Hazel Martin of Eldon. One daughter, Olive Kathryn Mowery, died in 1979.
Graveside services were held at 1 p.m. Monday at Gott Cemetery near Ulman. Crain Funeral Home of Ullin, Ill., directed services.
