Mary Sue Williams was born January 27, 1934 and died at her home in Reading, Kansas Saturday, March 9, 1940. She was a sweet, loveable child and attracted admiration wherever she went. In the six years she spent in this world, she brought sunshine and happiness to friends and loved ones.

As Mary Sue was ill for such a short time, her death was a shock to her loved ones. She is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Adron Williams; 3 sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Arnold, of Kansas City; Bonnie Jeanne and Mary Ruth; five brothers, Hilgar Maher of Lawrence, KS, Glen, Junior, Donald and Jerry of the home. Funeral services were held in the Baptist church, conducted by the pastor, Rev. Teel. The songs, "Jesus Loves Me" and "Safe in the Arms of Jesus," were sung by Jeanne Hyde, Edna Rae Rich, Marjorie Briggs and Helen Briggs girls' quartet. Mrs. Pearl Hopkins was pianist. Pall bearers were Robert Blow, Martin Ford, Roy and Ray Cropp. We feel that there isn't much we can say as the poem written by Guy DeBouge, one of the business men of Reading, expresses the sentiment of all that had the pleasure of knowing Mary Sue.--Mrs. A. T. Wall, an aunt.
The following members of Mary Sue's Sunday School class were honorary pallbearers: Lowell Dean Swisher, Delores Price, Victoria Mills and Mary Ann Borsdorf. Interment was in the Reading Cemetery.
