FUNERAL HONORS CANCER VICTIM
Funeral services honored Mona Rae Massey Brady, who died in the Rangely hospital of cancer July 16, 2:10 a.m. They were held in the Rangely High School auditorium July 18, Bishop Carl Wayland officiated.
Family prayer was offered by Bishop Wayland who also offered remarks and the eulogy. Prelude and postlude music was by Jean Murray. "Oh My Father" was sung by the Relief Society Singing Mothers. Mothers accompanied by Jean Murray.
Robert Barret offered the invocation. "Tis Even Tide" was sung by the singing mothers with Mrs. Murray as accompanist. Closing speaker was President Lewis R. Livingston.
"Now is the Hour" sung by Dwana Wardell was the closing song. Benediction was by Norva Massey. Dedication of the grave was by Lowell Brady.
Pallbearers were Edwin Massey, Norman Massey, Don Adams, Loraine Brady, Leon Brady, Doug Brady. Honorary pallbearers, Roy, Joseph, Odis, Sewell, Don and J. D. Massey.
Mrs. Brady, 41, was born October 6, 1931 in Vernal to Melba Thacker Massey and Lewis Van Massey. She married Keith Brady, October 6, 1949 in Vernal. The marriage was solemnized in the Manti Temple July 23, 1963.
She was a housewife, member of the LDS Church and active in the Relief Society Singing Mother, active in MIA, Sunday School Teacher, visiting teacher, active in Relief Society.
Survivors, widower, two sons, one daughter, Michael Keith, Scott Lowell and Lisa, asll of Rangely, Father, Vernal; brothers and sisters, Roy, Sewell, Edwin, Norman, Mrs. Melvin (Mable) Neiberger; Mrs. Richie (Pearl) Stubbs, Mrs Grant (LePreal) Southam, all of Vernal; Mrs. Sylvan (Wanda) Reynolds, Rangely; Odis, Mission, Texas; Joseph, Farmington, New Mexico; Don, Mack, Colorado and J. D. of Altamont.
Burial was in the Rangely City Cemetery.
