MARY GEIGER (d. 1938)
Mrs. Mary Geiger, 71, of route 1, Brillion, died suddenly of a heart
attack Saturday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Fred Cummings,
in Chicago. Mrs. Geiger, who had gone to Chicago last week with her
daugheter, Lena, on a visit, was seated in a chair conversing when
stricken.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. from the St. Mary's
Catholic church, Brillion. There will be a solemn high mass. Interment
will be in the Kasson Catholic cemetery.
Mrs. Geiger, nee Mary Bruehle??, was born in Milwaukee in 1866 and when
a girl her parents located at Darboy, Outagamie county. In 1887 she was
married to John Geiger and they located on the homestead farm near
Brillion. Mr. Geiger died in 1923.
Mrs. Geiger was a member of the Christian Mothers of the Holy Trinity
church, Kasson.
Survivors are six daughters, Mrs. Richard Lornson, Menasha, Mrs. Fred
Cummings, Chicago, Mrs. Oscar Rappe, Sheboygan, Mrs. Frank Pritzl, city,
Mrs. William Fischer and Miss Lena Geiger, Brillion; five sons, George,
Henry, Edward, John and Emory, all of Brillion; brother, Anton, Menasha;
24 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
The body was brought to Brillion last night from Chicago and may be viewed
at the Geiger home on route 1, Brillion.
