George S. Geiger, 93, of the Northridge Care Center in Manitowoc, formerly of Brillion, died Monday at the care center, following a lengthy illness.
Mr. Geiger was born June 28, 1889 in the town of Maple Grove, son of John and Mary Bruehl Geiger.
On May 29, 1917, he married Marie Binsfeld at Kasson. Mrs. Geiger died March 25, 1981. Mr. Geiger was employed as a mason with the Seehawer Construction Co. in Brillion. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Brillion, the Catholic Knights and the Holy Name Society.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Alvin (Helen) Budnick of Manitowoc; one son, Herbert of Bethesda, Maryland; six grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Mathilda Fischer of Brillion and Mrs. Cecelia Pritzl of Manitowoc; and one brother, John of Brillion.
He was preceded in death by four sisters and four brothers.
A funeral Mass was held at St. Mary Catholic Church in Brillion. The Rev. Pete Taylor, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
