Brillion – Edward J. Geiger, lifetime resident of Brillion, died May 5, at St. Vincent’s Hospital, Green Bay, following a series of operations.

He was born May 28, 1895, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Geiger in the town of Maple Grove, Manitowoc County. He married Mary Fischer of Morrison in 1924. They had lived at their present farm home here since their marriage.
Mr. Geiger was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic church, the Holy Name society and the local Bloedorn-Becker post in the American Legion.

He is survived by his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Glenicke of Manitowoc and Margaret and Magdeline at home; two sons, Edward and Ralph at home; four brothers, John, Henry and George of Brillion, and Emery of Maple Grove; six sisters, Mrs. Richard Lorensen of Menasha, Miss Lena Geiger and Mrs. Wm. Fischer of Brillion, Mrs. Frank Pritzl of Manitowoc, Mrs. Fred Cummings of Chicago and Mrs. Oscar Roppel of Sheboygan.

Funeral services were held Saturday at St. Mary’s Church with Rev. Raymond Schauer officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
