SENECA FALLS - Allen W. Hawker, Sr., 59, of 25 Pine St., died Saturday (March 5).
Friends may call at the Doran Funeral Home Inc. today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
The funeral will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday (March 8) at the funeral home and at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Eugene Sweeney. Spring burial will be in St. Columbkille Cemetery.
Mr. Hawker was born in Jordan, Nov. 10, 1928, son of Verner and Maude Zellars Hawker. He was a treatment plant operator for the village of Seneca Falls water department. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He resided in Seneca Falls for the past 33 years, previously living in Auburn and Jordan. He was a member of St. Patrick's Church.
Surviving are his wife, Rita Giovannetti Hawker, whom he married Oct. 17, 1953; three sons, Michael and Peter, both of Seneca Falls, and Allen Hawker Jr. of Buffalo; one daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Beatrice) Nolan of Marcellus; two brothers, Howard and Herbert Hawker of Jordan; four sisters, Mrs. Grace Dain of Jordan, Mrs. Leona Abrams of Baldwinsville, Mrs. Ronald (Irene) Atwell of Elbridge and Mrs. Edward (Betty) Galka of Auburn; three grandsons; and several nieces and nephews.
