Maggie Mae Mick, 67, of Blue Grass died Tuesday morning, May 10, 1983 at Rockingham Memorial Hospital. She was born Sept. 7, 1915, near Blue Grass and was a daughter of the late Henry and Lydia Smith Hedrick. On Oct. 18, 1948, she married Robert Mick, who survives. Also surviving are seven daughters, Mottie Bennett, Freda Vandevander and Wanda Bennett, all of Cherry Grove, W.Va., Callie Lambert of McConnellsburg, Patsy Lambert of Parsons, W.Va., Flornie Lambert of Riverton, W.Va. and Anglea Evans of Petersburg, W.Va.; a stepdaughter, Virginia Lambert of Grottoes; two sons. Robot Mick Jr. of Broadway and John Mick of Cherry Grove; a stepson, Raymond Mick of Harrisonburg; four sisters, Virgie Berkley d Harrisonburg. Meadie Berkley of Broadway, Lommie Nelson of Cherry Grove and Laura Vint of Circleville; a brother. Garrett Hedrick of Grottoes; 26 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A service will be held Friday at the Basagie Funeral Home in Franklin. W.Va. by the Rev. James Rosserman and the Rev. Mayo Arbaugb. Burial will be in the Hedrick family cemetery near Blue Grass.
