SHERMANS DALE - Richard S. Shatto, 77, of Shermans Dale died yesterday in Perry Village, New Bloomfield.
He was the retired owner and operator of Shatto's Service Station, and was a member of Shermans Dale United Methodist Church, Shermans Dale Community Fire Company, New Bloomfield Fire Company, and the Perry County, Cumberland County and Cumberland Valley volunteer firemen's associations.
Surviving are his wife, Violet E. Shatto; two sons, Richard E. and Donald L., two daughters, Louise Bentsel and Dorothy Morrison, and a brother, Elmer Jr., all of Shermans Dale; three sisters, Erma Watson and Elva Lebo, both of Carlisle, and Agetha Smeigh of Shermans Dale; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in his church. Burial will be in Westminster Memorial Gardens, North Middleton Twp.
