Katherine Schuiteman

Katherine Schuiteman, 88, of Sioux Center died Tuesday, August 12, at Sioux Center Community Hospital Nursing Wing.
Services were at First Reformed Church in Sioux Center on Thursday with the Rev. Arnold Punt and the Rev. Brian Steenhoek officiating. Burial was at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Schuiteman was born on November 12, 1908, in Orange City, the daughter of Jacobus and Gertrude (Bonnes) Hofland.
She married Arthur A. Schuiteman of February 14, 1928, in Orange City. He died on December 14, 1949.
Survivors include four daughters and their husbands, Gertrude and Marion Roseboom, Arta and Marvin Schoep and Rosalie and Marvin Prins, all of Sioux Center, and Ruth and Ivan Mulder of Pella; 19 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and brothers and sisters, Elsina Bos of Hartley, Angeline Horstman of Sanborn, Gertrude Jacobs of Orange City and Elmer Hofland of Orange City.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Wilma; an infant son, James Gerben; three brothers; and a sister.
Memorials are being given to the Nursing Wing of Sioux Center Community Hospital.
