Obituary: "KANE—February 9, Patrick H., 1115 SW 11th; husband of Ida M. Kane; father of Dolores Kane Colter, Bernadine Kane Adams and Leon E Briggs; brother of Mrs. Kate Andrews, James and Barthamew Kane; 3 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren. Friends invited to services Saturday, 10:30 am, in the Drawing Room Chapel of the Colonial Mortuary, Sandy Blvd. at 14th. Interment Riverview cemetery. Obituary: "Long-Time Portland Builder Dies - Funeral services for Patrick Henry Kane, 85, of 1115 SW 11th avenue, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Colonial mortuary, with burial at Riverview cemetery. A former building contractor who retired in 1945, Kane died Wednesday at a local hospital. Born in Green Bay, Wis., he had lived in Portland since 1918. Construction projects in the area with which he was connected were Timberline lodge, the Sperry flour mills and Gresham high school. During World War II he was a personnel manager for the Kaiser Shipbuilding corporation. Survivors are his wife, Ida; a son Leon F. Briggs, Detroit, Mich.; two daughters, Mrs. Dolores Colter, Concord, Cal., and Mrs. Bernardine Adams, Los Angeles; two brothers, James and Bartholomew, both of St. Paul, Minn.; and a sister, Mrs. Kate Andrews, Minneapolis."
