Daughter of Robert and Martha Turk Carson, she married Harry E. Shoemaker, lived at 7 W. 3rd St, Oil City, died in the Oil City Hospital of respiratory failure due to CVA, heart disease, fractured hip pinned Apr 19 1964, per death certificate 051333-64, whose informant was Mrs. Charles Trax of Oil City, and which gives date of birth as Feb 19 1874. Buried May 4 1964.

Mrs. Cora E. Shoemaker of 7 W. 3rd St., wife of Harry E. Shoemaker, died at 6:25 pm Friday in the Oil City hospital. She was born at Rockland, daughter of Robert and Martha Turk Carson.

She was a member of the Second Presbyterian Church, of the Belles Lettres Club, Talbot Commandery Auxuliary, and a charter member of the YWCA.

She married Harry E. Shoemaker in 1898 and he survived, with a daughter, Mrs. Charles (Virginia) Trax of Oil City; a brother, Howard Carson of Dunkirk,, NY; six sisters, Minnie, Florence, and Ivie Carson, Mrs. Maude Forsythe, Mrs. Laura Jones, and Mrs. Anna Armstrong, all of Franklin. A son, Robert, died in infancy.

Services will be at Charles A. Morrison Funeral Home at 11 am Monday with Dr. Robert B. Shane, pastor of the Second Presbyterian Church, officiating. Interment will be in Emlenton Cemetery.
