Ivie L. Carson, 98, died at 3:35 am today, Feb. 8, 1993, in the Wesbury United Methodist Home, Meadville, where she lived. Born Feb. 9, 1894 in Kennerdell, she was a daughter of Robert and Martha Jane Turk Carson.
She had lived in Franklin and New Castle, and was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are several nieces and nephews, including Mrs. Virginia S. Trax of Oil City, and a great-niece, Mrs. Marcia Hisel Spray of Durham, SC. Deceased are a brother and eight sisters.
Services will be at 11 am Wednesday at Gardinier Funeral Home with Rev. Lisa Grant of Epworth United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in Franklin Cemetery.
