Per Pennsylvania Marriage License, on Sep 12 1911 in Kennerdell, Laura J. Carson of Kennerdell, 27, daughter of Robert and Martha Carson, married W. Carl Jones of Chicago, IL, bookkeeper, 25, son of J. M. and Martha Jones; first marriage for both.

Franklin News-Herald, Wednesday, May 24, 1972:
Mrs. Laura Jones of 1409 Buffalo St. died at 1:35 am today in the Franklin Hospital after a three-weeks illness. She was born in Kennerdell, daughter of Robert and Martha Jane Turk Carson.

In Sept. 1911 in Kennerdell, she married William Carl Jones, who died in 1946.

She was a housewife, and a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Surviving are a granddaughter, Mrs. Thomas L. (Marcia) Spray of Durham, NC; three sisters. Mrs. George Forsythe, Miss Florence Carson, and Miss Ivie Carson, all of Franklin. Preceding her in death were a daughter, Mrs. Helen Hisel, who died in 1949, a brother, Howard Carson, and four sisters, Minnie, Cora, Ada and Anna.
