Mr. William Henry Albritton, 73, died Tuesday afternoon at his residence in the Justiceville community following an extended illness.
A native and lifelong resident of Ware County, he formerly worked with Scapa Inc., Thompson Motor Supply, and Murray’s Farm & Garden Supply. He served with the U.S. Army in Germany during World War II and was a member of Woodard Chapel Congregational Methodist Church. He was a son of the late Matthew Allen Albritton and Mary Elizabeth Strickland Albritton and brother of the late Betty Jo Aldridge, Mattie Eunice and Floyd Allen Albritton.
He is survived by the mother of his children, Carolyn King Albritton, Waycross; two daughters, Mrs. Danny Davis (Brenda) and Carol Sue Albritton, Waycross; three sons, William H. Albritton Jr., Madison, Tenn., and Marshall Albritton (wife Linda) and Harold Albritton (wife Carol), Waycross; six sisters, Loysell Barwick, Polk City, Fla., Judy Aldridge, Williston, Fla., Doris Crews, Vidalia, Amanda Eaton, Blackshear, Mamie Sellers and Mrs. Johnny Hickox (Janie), Waycross; three grandchildren, Consuelo and Les Davis and William Matthew Albritton; four step-grandsons, Jamie, Steve, Jason and Joe Sweat; two step-great-grandsons, Joshua and Travis Sweat; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the High Bluff Cemetery near Hoboken.
The family is receiving friends this evening from 7 until 9 o’clock at Miles-Odum Funeral Home.
