Matthew Allen Albritton, 58, died Sunday morning at his home on Route 2, Waycross, after an extended illness.
A farmer, Mr. Albritton had lived his entire life in this section. He was a member of New Hope Advent Christian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lizzie Strickland Albritton; eight daughters, Mrs. Jessie Barwick, Mrs. V. C. Eunice, Mrs. Johnny Hickox, Mrs. Troy Lucas, Miss Betty Jo Albritton, Miss Mamie Albritton, Miss Doris Albritton and Miss Judy Albritton, all of Waycross; two sons, William H. Albritton and Floyd Albritton, both of Waycross; four sisters, Mrs. Andrew May, Tampa, Fla., Mrs. J. H. Beverly, Baldwin, Fla., Mrs. Jane Thrift and Mrs. Math Griffin, both of Waycross.
Funeral services were to be held this afternoon at three o’clock at New Hope Church, with the pastor, the Rev. Fleming Highsmith officiating. Burial will be in High Bluff cemetery.
Hinson Funeral Parlors is in charge of arrangements.
