Arthur Bowermaster, 64, R. R. 2, died early this morning in Carlisle Hospital after a long illness.

Mr. Bowermaster was born Aug. 9, 1914, in the Leesburg area, son of the late George Anthony and Nellie Grace Gsell Bowermaster. He was an Army veteran of World War II and for a number of years was active in the Durff-Kuhn Post No. 6168, VFW. He was retired from C.H. Masland and Sons, Carlisle.

Surviving are seven brothers and sisters, Elmer G. Bowermaster, Walter Bowermaster, Mrs. Janet Hartman and Mrs. Kenneth (Rosie) Stoner, all of R. R. 2; Earl Bowermaster, Shippensburg; Harry K. Bowermaster, R. R. 1, Newville, and Mrs. Elizabeth Rhone, Fayetteville, and a number of nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Fogelsanger Funeral Home, 112 W. King St., in charge of the Rev. Harold Jones. Burial will be in the Cleversburg Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home one hour before the service Monday.
