Harry Kenneth Bowermaster Sr., 89, of Newville died Sunday December 9, 2012, surrounded by his family and loved ones, in his daughters home, in Newville.

He was born August 25, 1923 in Shippensburg the son of George A. and Nellie G. (Sell) Bowermaster.

Mr. Bowermaster is survived by his wife Alberta Myers Bowermaster. He was preceded in death by his first wife Pauline C. Bowermaster.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He had retired as a mechanic from the Naval Depot in Mechanicsburg.

Mr. Bowermaster belonged to F.O.E in Carlisle, and the Boiling Springs Sportsman's Club.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by six sons, Ronald, Allan, Gordon, Brian, Harry Jr., and George Bowermaster, and one daughter Christine Boyd, one sister Rosey Stoner, 13 grandchildren, and 8 Great Grandchildren, and many niece and nephews.

He is preceded in death by 8 brothers and sisters.

A funeral service will be held Friday December 14, 2012 at 10 AM in the Egger Funeral Home Inc. 15 Big Spring Ave. Newville with the Rev. Jean Kuebler officiating. Burial will follow in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
