Survivors: wife, Irene; one daughter, Mrs. Jack (Bonita) Wilson of Schneider Ind.; four sons, Lugreel, Calvin, and Gerald, all of Hammond, Cleveland of Phoenix, Arizona; nine grandchildren; one brother, Luri of Elgin, Ill.
Funeral services Wed., Dec. 5, 11 a.m. from Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Ave., Hessville. Rev. Johnny Colsten of First Baptist Church of Hammond, officiating. Burial Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home Tue. 7 to 10 p.m.
Mr. Grubbs was a retired carpenter on construction work.
