Lugreel Grubbs (Lou) of Hammond, Ind., passed away Thursday, Jan. 31, 1974 at Hines VA Hospital. Survivors: mother, and stepfather, Mr. & Mrs. A.G. Kirkpatrick of Hammond; two brothers, Calvin (Betty) Grubbs of Hammond and Cleve Grubbs of Phoenix, Ariz., nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Feb. 4, 10 a.m. at the Snyder-LaHayne Funeral Home, 5746 Hohman Ave., Hammond, with Rev. Jack H. Barrett officiating. Burial, Elmwood Cemetery, Hammond. Friends may call at the chapel Sunday 2-5 and 7-10 p.m.
Mr. Grubbs was a self-employed welder, a lifetime resident of the area, a Veteran of World War II and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Edward H. Larsen Post No. 802 of Hammond.
