REVENNA L. ROSE
ALVA – The funeral for Revenna Luella Arndt Rose, 97, will be at 3 P.M. Saturday at Wharton Funeral Chapel. Dr. Tom Norman will officiate. Burial will be in the Alva Municipal Cemetery.
She was born Jan. 10, 1902, north of White Horse to Myrtle Louella Cummins and Robert Perry Arndt and died Thursday, March 11, 1999.
She attended White Horse Rural Grade School and helped her parents raise her brothers and sisters.
On Oct. 28, 1920, she married Albert "Bert" Rose at Alva. They lived on a farm 18 miles northwest of Alva. In 1944, they moved to Alva. She worked for Ferguson Laundry for 12 years. She took in ironing until two years ago.
Surviving are two daughters, Iva Jean Rose of Oklahoma City, and Gladys Ellen Rose of the home; one son, Bud of Alva; one sister, Avis Cline of Cañon City, Colo; one brother, Ralph Arndt of Alva; four grandsons; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter, one great-grandson, two sisters, and three brothers.
Memorials may be made to the Jon Smith Scholarship Fund.
