Margaret Darcy was the youngest child of Michael and Catherine Darcy. She was born in 1886, shortly after her brother Tom emigrated to the USA. Catherine Darcy was 44 years old when Margaret was born. Like brothers John and Patrick, Margaret remained in Ireland. In 1906 she married Peter Boran, a farmer of Crut, Caslecomer, Co. Kilkenny. They had 14 children:

The six daughters and eight sons of Margaret an Tom Boran remained in Ireland. All four nuns joined the same religious order (RSHM: Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary) and celebrated their Golden Jubilees, all but Margaret the youngest, their Diamond Jubilee.

Kathleen, an elementary school teacher, married Michael O'Dwyer and had two daughters, Nicole and Fionnala. Maureen married Sydney Hambly and had three daughters; Esther, Eileen, Maureen. Tom, a Lt. Col. in the Irish Army, married Gertie Treacy and had three daughters; Orla, Rosemary, Elizabeth Ann. Sister Columba was a teacher who lived in England. Michael, who did not marry, operated the Boran famiy farm in Crutt. Martin married Kathleen Hetherington and had three daughters: Maura, Theresa, Bernadette. Sister Marie de Sales, who earned her doctorate from Fordham University, taught for many years in New York and Virginia. Sister Bernard was both a teacher and school administrator, mainly in Ireland. Nicholas married Nancy Delaney and had five children: Margaret, Peter, Mary, Patrick, Michael. Father Paddy Boran, CSSp, taught and ministered both in Africa (more than 30 years in Kenya as educator and ethnologist) and Canada he is buried in Toronto. Sister Consilia was a teacher, including service in Africa. Father Anthony, OFMCap, was serving at the Capuhin Friary in Carlow in the 1980. Gerald married Noreen O'Sullivand had four children: Gerald, Peter, Angela, Aidan.
Youngest of the youngest was Frank Boran, who emigrated to Canada in 1956, where he met Sorca/Sarah Gaffney; and in 1958 they were married in her home parish at Lusk, Co. Dublin. They moved to the United States where all six of their children were born: Diarmuid Finbarr (born 1959, married Carol A Czarnecki), Nuala Mairead (born 1960, married Charles J Wilmanski), Maeve Noelle (born 1961, married Ronald L Ragotzy), Maura Patricia (born 1963 married Gregory C Mahr), Colm Peter (born 1965 married Linda M Persico), and Canice Patrick ( born 1967 married Lisa T. Lentini).
Frank taught in Ireland and Canada, then worked for a large corporation in Chicago and Michigan. Sorca was a nurse. Since the 1960s they lave lived in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Frank and Sorca's children and grandchildren live in Michigan, Colorado, and Wisconsin. Six of Franks brothers and sisters became priest or sisters, working mostly in teaching. Of Frank and Sorca's children four worked in health care ( Diarmuid and Nuala in pharmacy, Maeve and Maura in nursing); Colm and Canice are engineers,
