Sarah was born June 18, 1870 in Doonane parish, Co. Laois (originally Queens Co.) She came to the USA in 1890. She married Timothy Shea in Creighton, Knox Co., Nebraska March 3, 1892. Tim was born in 1862 in Ireland. Their children were born in Houghton County, Michigan. She and Tim had two children (they had at least 2 other children which died either at birth or very young). Sarah's father Michael Darcy died in 1930 in Ireland. Her daughter Genevieve Shea was born on June 20, 1900 in Michigan. Genevieve married Alexander Maxinoski and they had five children. Sarah's son John Darcy Shea was born June 5, 1901 and he had 3 children. Sarah's husband, Tim, died April 23, 1921 and is buried Houghton County, Michigan. Following Tim's death Sarah and her children moved to Los Angeles, California area. She died Jan 17, 1963 in Auburn, Placer Co., California and is buried in New Auburn Cemetery in Auburn, Placer Co., California.

John Darcy Shea's children were Sharon Ann born in 1935, John (Jack) Darcy Shea born in 1939, Mary Maureen born in 1941 died in 1973.
