Margaret Ann Farris, 78, of Spencer, passed away, Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at IU Health in Bloomington. Margaret was born October 20, 1932 in Bloomington, IN to Harry and Mary (Empson) Crites. She attended Bloomington High School. She worked as the deli manager for Babb's Supervalu IGA, and then in the cafeteria at Spencer Elementary School. Mrs. Farris was a member of Sherwood Oaks Christian Church in Bloomington and the Spencer VFW and American Legion Ladies' Auxiliaries.
Margaret is survived by her son, Daniel Mullis (Halyna) of Bloomington, a daughter Brenda Coley (Keith) of Spencer, two stepsons, Russell and Kevin Farris, both of Gosport, three brothers, William and Robert Crites, both of Ellettsville, and David Crites of Del Norte, CO, a sister Virginia Henry of Edinburgh, seven grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husbands Russell Farris and Jack Mullis, three brothers, Albert, Paul and Sam Crites, and a sister Pauline Wolff.
Funeral services will be held 10am Monday, February 14, 2011 at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home. Brother Billy Williams will officiate. Burial will follow at Chambersville Cemetery.
