BAXTER: Funeral services for Lorene Jared, 68, of Baxter will be held Friday, May 9, at 2:00 p.m. at Boma First Church of God. Burial will be in Smellage Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends after 3 p.m. today at Baxter Funeral Home.
Mrs. Jared died Tuesday, May 6, 1997, at Mercy Hospice in Summerdale, Ala.
A native of Putnam County, TN she was born April 22, 1929, to the late Joseph Washington and Lucy Herd Maxwell.
She was a homemaker, a fancy stitch machine operator for Acme Boot and a member of Boma First Church of God for many years.
Her family includes two sons, Gerald Jared of Summerdale and Phil Alan Jared of Nashville; one brother, Kenneth Maxwell of Peru, IN; three sister, Mary Wilkerson of Reading, MI, Martha Jernigan of Baxter and Alene Thomas of Cookeville; two grandchildren, Jerry and Stephen Alan Jared; and three great granddaughters, Madaline and Tylar Garrett and Paige Desmond.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Jared, five brothers and five sisters.
