Funeral services for Edgar Odell Maxwell, 64, of Route 1, Readyville, Tn. were conducted from the chapel of Baxter Funeral Home Friday, March 2, 1984. Burial was in the Boma Cemetery.
A native of Putnam County, he was the son of the late Washington and Lucy Heard Maxwell. A retired farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby Lowe Maxwell, of Readyville, Tn; 2 sons Burdelle Maxwell of Shelbyville, Tn., Melvin Edward Maxwell (1946-2023 McMinnville, TN) of Memphis; 2 daughters Delmaleen Key of North Tn.; 3 brothers, Everett Maxwell of Indiana, Fletcher Maxwell of Michigan; 6 sisters, Alene Thomas of Baxter, Lorene Jared of Silver Point, Tn., Dean Shores of Silver Point, Tn., Elzo Gambrell of Bloomington Springs, Tn., Mary Wilkerson and Martha Jernigan, both of Michigan, 11 grandchildren.
Baxter Funeral Home was in charge of arrangemetns.
