Funeral services for Michael Abler, retired Town of Empire farmer, who died Tuesday at the home of his son, the Rev. Alfred P. Abler, at Dallas, S.D., will be held at 10 a.m. Monday from the Zacherl funeral home and at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph's church. Burial will be at St. Charles cemetery, Taycheedah. Funeral Services for Michael Abler, who died Tuesday at the home of his son, the Rev. Alfred P. Abler, Dallas, S.D., were held at 10 a.m. today from the Zacherl Funeral home and at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph's church, where a solemn requiem mass was celebrated by the Rev. Fr. Abler. Assisting were the Rev. Henry G. Riordan, pastor, as deacon, the Rev. Jerome Schulteis, assistant, sub-deacon and the Rev. John Chmielewski, chaplain at the Henry Boyle Catholic Home for the Aged, as master of ceremonies. Seated in the sanctuary were the Rev. E.J. Rodenkirch of St. Peter and the Rev. John Klopoetke of Johnsburg. Burial was in St. Charles cemetery, Taycheedah. Serving as pallbearers were Roman, Urban, Rudolph and Alfred Petrie, Nick Abler and Peter Eggers. Persons attending the rites included Miss Anna Michels of Dallas, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Loehr and Mrs. Johanna Eggers of Dundee and a number of others from nearby places.
