Commonwealth Reporter, Wed. Aug. 23, 1939, p. 3:6. MRS. KATE EGGERS DIES. Former Resident, Mother of Fond du Lac Folk, Expires in Wauwatosa. Mrs. Kate Eggers, 83, widow of George Eggers, former resident of this county, and mother of William and Peter Eggers, both of this city, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Worm, Wauwatosa, at 10:15 a.m. today. Details of the death had not been received here early this afternoon. Mrs. Eggers is survived by three children, the two sons in this city and her brothers, Michael and John Abler of Empire, and Joseph and Peter Abler of Waucousta, eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Three brothers preceded Mrs. Eggers in death. Announcement of funeral services will be made after further word is received from Wauwatosa.

Funeral services for Mrs. Katherine Abler Eggers, 81, who died Wednesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John F. Worm of Wauwatosa, will be held at 8:30 a.m. Saturday from Zacherl Funeral home and at 9 a.m. from St. Joseph's church. The body will lie in state after 2 p.m. Friday until the time of the funeral. Interment will be in St. Charles cemetery. Mrs. Eggers is survived by three children, her daughter, Mrs. Worm, and two sons, Peter and William Eggers of this city; four brothers, Michael and John Abler of Empire and Peter and Joseph Abler of Waucousta, eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were George and Howard Eggers, Lawrence Loehr, Herbert Ullrich, Nicholas Adler (sic Abler) and Fred Worm.
