Dutch Freeman was the son of Jacob B. Freeman and Amanda Dixon-Freeman. He was a brother to Nancy C. (Cook), David R. "Dave", Martha J. "Mattie", Sarah "Sac" (Wood), Joel Matthew, Mary Susanah "Susie" (Landers), Grayson, Ersula, and Iva. He married the daughter of Elizabeth Alzina Clark-Lawrence and William Lawrence. She was Cynthia Ann Lawrence, born Sept. 1866-died 1915. They were the parents of; Willie (Arnold), Allie (Langston), Icie,(Cooper-Rushing), Snowdie Freeman, and Raymond Freeman. Some of the girls went to Piggott, and Paragould, AR. Icie Cooper-Rushing is buried in Combs Cem., Melbourne, AR. It is not known where Cynthia Ann and John W. "Dutch" Freeman are buried. Dutch died about 1920, five years after Cynthia. She may be buried in the Lawrence Family Cemetery off Hwy 9-Dixon St., Melbourne. May G Uncle Dutch rest in peace.
