OLNEY FARMER DIES AT HOME

Olney, Texas(Special)-D.J. Cooper, Sr., 81 year old retired farmer in this area for 50 years died in his home here Monday after suffering a heart attack.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 P.M. Thursday from First Baptist Church here with the pastor Rev. Erwin Reed officiating.
Burial will be in the Olney Cemetery under direction of the Lunn Funeral Home.
Cooper was born in Elby, Ala. on December 2, 1889, but had lived most of his adult life in this area,
Survivors include five sons, Weldon Cooper, Chester Cooper, Lester Cooper, and D.J. Cooper Jr., all of Olney, and Bill Cooper of Fort Worth; four daughters, Mrs. R.W. Lindley of Fort Worth, Mrs. R.E. Bearden of Eunice, NM, Mrs. Dale Scoggins and Mrs. Corine Hadley, both of Odessa; one brother who resides in California; two sisters, Mrs. Vincent Stine of Henrietta and Mrs. Frank Stillwell of Bowie; 13 grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
