Abilene Man's Funeral Today
Funeral for W.B.(Bill)Cooper, pioneer employee of the Lone Star Gas Co., was to be held at Kiker-Warren Chapel at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Dr. Millard A. Jenkens, former pastor of the First Baptist Church is to officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Cooper, 60, died at his son's residence in Fort Worth at 12:40 a.m. Tuesday after several months illness.
He was employed by Lone Star 33 years. He served in Bowie and Baird before coming to Abilene 11 years ago.
A native of Alba(sp), Ala, he moved to Texas when a boy, living first at Olney.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, W.E. and D.E. Cooper of Odessa; N.V. and R.B. Cooper of Fort Worth; a daughter, Mrs. Billy James of Pasedena, Tex.; two brothers, D.J. Cooper of Olney and Aubie Cooper of San Luis Obispo, Calif., four sisters, Mrs. Willie Lawyer and Mrs. Frank Stillwell of Bowie, Mrs. Denia Kilcrease of Olney and Mrs. Vincent Stine of Henrietta, Tex.; three step-children, Maurine Loyd of Baird.M.S. Loyd of San Fernando, Calif.; and Henry F. Loyd of Fort Worth.
