Robert D. Stoops, 40, Mont Alto, died Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the U.S. Public Health Service Hospital, Baltimore.
He had been in failing health for the last four years and was admitted to the hospital in Baltimore 11 weeks ago.
He was the son of Daisy (Sheffler) Stoops.
Mr. Stoops was employed at Frick Co.
He was a member of the Waynesboro Church of the Brethren. He also was a member of the Eagles Club, Inc.
Surviving in addition to his widow, Betty (Small) Stoops are three sons, Benjamin Stoops, William Stoops and Jeffrey Stoops, all at home; his mother,Daisy Stoops, Waynesboro R. 2; these brothers and sisters, Barr Stoops, Chambersburg R. 5; Mrs. Wayne Cluck, Gettysburg R. 3; Ralph Stoops, Mrs. Merle Sprenkle, both of Waynesboro; Harry Stoops, Jr., Waynesboro R. 2; Mrs. Margaret Gonder, Chambersburg; Mrs. Juanita Ruhl, Waynesboro R. 2; Mrs. Willard Widmer, Philadelphia; Mrs. Glen Wagaman, Chambersburg; also two step sisters and a step brother.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Poe Funeral Home, Waynesboro, in charge of the Rev. Philip M. Kulp. Interment will be made in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
There will be no viewing. The family will receive their friends tonight at the funeral home from 7 until 9 p.m.
