Chris Albert Bullar, 73, of 1827 Hardy St., Murphysboro, was dead on arrival Tuesday, at St. Joseph Memorial Hospital, Murphysboro.

He was born Feb. 18, 1900, in Murphysboro, to Chris C. and Annie Clippner Bullar.

In 1921, he married Nellie King. She preceded him in death in 1971. Later on Nov. 6, 1971, he married Ruby L. Cochran.

Mr. Buller was retired from the Brown Shoe Co.

He was a member of a Methodist Church, the AF and AM No. 489, Murphysboro, the Low 12 of the Order of Mason Masonic Lodge, the White Shrine and Eastern Star, the Brown Shoe Retirement Club, and the Murphysboro Senior Citizens Club.

Survivors include his wife; stepsons, Myron Cochran of Urbana and Robert Cochran of Pickens, S.C.; step-daughters, Mrs. James Kelsey of Pickens, S.C., and Mrs. Ed Kelsey of Murphysboro; and sisters, Ruby Kepplar of North Fort Myers, Fla., and Ruth Ahlheim, Helen Whitson, and Sadie McBride, all of Murphysboro.

Two brothers and five sisters preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Crawshaw Mortuary Chapel, Murphysboro, with the Rev. Donald Betz officiating.

Masonic services will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

Burial will be in Glenhaven Cemetery, Murphysboro.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
