Born April 22, 1912, in Johnson County, he was a son of the late Elisha and Elizabeth Craft Blevins.
He was a retired coal miner, and a Johnson County Judge-Executive, 1970-1973, 1978-1981,and 1986-1990.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Thompson Blevins,in 1992.
Survivors include a son, Carmel Jan Blevins of Tutor Key; two daughters, Peggy Jo Jones of Paintsville, and Katrinka Collins of Hager Hill;
six grandchildren;and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. today, Wednesday, Nov. 14, at Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel, Paintsville, with Toby Wheeler officiating.
Burial will be in Johnson County Memorial Cemetery, Staffordsville,under direction of Jones-Preston Funeral Home.
