Winnie Irene Corman Fletcher was born at Oak, Nebraska, April 29, 1895, the daughter of John and Anna Sherbondy Corman. She died February 17 at the Nuckolls County Hospital in Superior at the age of 80 years, 9 months and 18 days.


February 11,1914, she was married to Raymond Fletcher at Nelson. To this marriage were born three children, Von, Wendell and Twilla. Mr. and Mrs. Fletcher celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1964 and had been married for 57 years at the time of Mr. Fletcher's death on February 22, 1971.


Mrs. Fletcher was a life-long resident of Nuckolls County. Before her retirement she had worked at the Nuckolls County Hospital in Superior and was a member of Olive Chapter, No. 63, Order of Eastern Star, Superior.


In addition to her husband, Raymond, and her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.


She is survived by her two sons, Von of Earlham, Iowa, and Wendell of Lincoln, Illinois; daughter, Mrs. Waldean Jensen (Twilla) of Waterloo, Iowa; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Link and Mrs. Pansy Nunamaker, both of Hastings; and 10 grandchildren.


Funeral services were February 19 at 2 p.m. at the Montgomery-Williams Funeral Home in Superior. The Rev. Marion Knoell, pastor of the United Methodist Church, officiated. Interment was in Evergreen Cemetery.
