Farmer Corman, 77, lifetime Oak resident, died Monday, February 3, 1975 at the Oakwood Manor, Edgar. Farmer Allen Corman was born to John Andrew and Anna Sherbony (sic) Corman, April 1, 1897 just south of the Oak Mill. Farmer's school years were spent at the Blue Valley School in Nuckolls County.

On August 28, 1919, he was united in marriage to Grace Mariel Virchow of Davenport, Nebraska in Oak and they spent their 55 years of married life around and in Oak. Grace passed away December 11, 1974. To this union were born five children, Robert of Salinas, California, Keith of Pacoima, California, Mrs. Albert (Helen) Ahrens of Angus, John of Oak and Clayton of Oak.

Farmer was a well known farmer in Nuckolls County for his early irrigaation practices and record corn production.
Farmer was a member of the Oak Community Church and the American Legion Post #232 of Ruskin.

Besides his five children he is survived by 22 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and 3 sisters, Mrs. Winnie Fletcher of Nelson, Mrs. Anna Link of Hastings and Mrs. Pansy Nunamaker of Hastings.

Funeral services were Thursday, February 6 at 2:00 p.m. at the Oak Community Church with Rena Ouding officiating. Burial was in the Davenport Cemetery. The Urbauer Funeral Home, Davenport was in charge of the arrangements.
