"Mother, dearest, to you we'd turn
When skies were fair, or when sad we'd yearn
For the soothing touch of gentle hands
And the smile of one who'd understand.

The loving words you've often said
Are jewels strung on a gold thread;
Jewels so rich, radiant and rate,
That they're locked in our hearts and treasured there.

Funeral services were conducted on Friday, January 15 by the Rev. V.R. Daniels at the Methodist church in Oak. When the many friends and old time neighbors paid their respect to the memory of the dear, gentle lady they had known and loved so long.
