Wendell D. Fletcher, 86, died Wednesday, February 8, 2006, at St. Clara's Manor in Lincoln.

He was born November 11, 1919, in Oak, Nebraska, the son of Raymond and Winnie Corman Fletcher. He married Aileen Avers April 11, 1947 in Nelson, Nebraska. She died in 1994.

Mr. Fletcher was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific. He retired from the city of Lincoln maintenance department. He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Lincoln.

He is survived by two sons, Dennis (Connie) Fletcher and Terry Fletcher, two grandchildren and a sister, Twilla (Waldean) Jensen.

He was was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Von.
